I’m usually into filter coffee, so it caught my eye naturally, and it was already so popular that the orders were backed up. Lito is a shop specializing in filter coffee, and it seemed they had prepared some special beans for the flea market event that day. I ordered two coffees: the Ethiopia and the Colombia. Both had their own charm, but personally, the Colombia was much more impressive. First, what surprised me most was the acidity. It felt a bit different from the acidity I usually taste in coffee; rather than being just sour or sharp, it had a refreshing quality that felt like eating fruit. The crisp acidity and aroma in my mouth were quite unique. I’ve had various coffees before, but I don’t think I’ve easily encountered one with such a pleasant fruitiness. Should I call it a refreshing coffee? It was pretty fascinating that such a flavor profile could be expressed in coffee. The Ethiopia was charming enough, but that day, the Colombia had a stronger presence. Actually, since I found it by chance at a flea market, I ordered it without high expectations, but it was a much more memorable experience than I had anticipated. I think this is why people go out of their way to have a good cup of coffee. Next time I travel to Gangwon, I’d like to visit Lito’s offline store, not just the flea market. A cup of coffee I met by chance, but one that will stay in my memory for a long time.
