The interior is a bit small but clean, and there are many takeout customers. I ordered the ppyeohaejangguk. The broth is clean, well-seasoned, and has enough umami to be a crowd-pleaser. It doesn't have any striking features like a funky or clear broth, but it has no flaws and everything you'd expect is there. It feels like a perfectly balanced version among ppyeohaejangguk dishes. The amount of meat for the price is substantial. It's hard to find this kind of value even in the provinces, which is pretty impressive. The meat quality is good too—no gaminess, clean, tender, and perfect. The dried cabbage is hearty and well-soaked in the broth, so it goes great with rice when you mix it in. It’s probably the best ppyeohaejangguk I’ve had lately, across both Seoul and the provinces. It’s a place worth visiting often because of the great value, but there is one minor downside: there’s a slight variation in the sweetness of the broth every time I go.
