Since Turkish coffee is an unfamiliar method for me, I asked the owner for a recommendation and went with the house blend. The finish was impressively long. Of course, there are drip coffees or espressos that provide a long aftertaste, but they don't compare to this Turkish coffee. The taste had a uniquely nutty feel that was incredibly dense, and even left a hint of spice on the finish. Most coffee we usually encounter has a strong nutty flavor, but compared to those, the nuttiness here is almost like a brick wall in its thickness. There are even fine coffee grounds you can chew on, but unlike the fine grounds in drip coffee, these aren't bitter or astringent at all. Since they are so nutty, they just make the coffee, which was already nutty, even more so. I'm not sure if this is unique to this place or a common characteristic of Turkish coffee, but it was a truly unique experience. The shop has a very antique and cozy atmosphere, so if you like that vibe, you'll love it. It's a place I think is worth visiting when you're craving Turkish coffee.
