The menu is divided into Ho Sushi, Mi Sushi, and Miho Omakase, and I ordered the Mi Sushi among them. It’s 12 pieces for 22,000 won. From the moment you see it, the neta (topping) on top is noticeably thicker than your average assorted sushi. Mi Sushi is curated around popular neta, offering a variety of flavors including familiar fish like flatfish, salmon, and tuna, as well as soy-marinated shrimp, eel, and futomaki, all in one set. Since they use seasonal ingredients, I assume the daily selection might vary slightly. Personally, I think the balance between shari (sushi rice) and neta is more important than just having huge, thick slices of fish, and the balance here was quite good overall. The shari is not overly seasoned and has a style where the rice grains fall apart naturally in your mouth. So, it doesn't mask the taste of the neta, and it was easy to enjoy the texture of the thickly sliced fish as it is. Especially with assorted sushi at this price point, you sometimes get a few pieces that feel like mere filler, but Mi Sushi feels like it has a pretty solid composition throughout. And since it's run by a one-chef operation, it’s closer to a place where they put more care into each piece rather than a large sushi restaurant that churns them out quickly. Considering the price of 22,000 won, it’s a quite satisfying selection.
