I ordered: Basque cheesecake (slice) Americano (house blend) Americano (Ethiopia) Originally, you could choose between house blend, Ethiopia, and decaf beans for the Americano. It seems like the 'today's drip coffee' menu was added recently and the bean selection option is gone. This cheesecake maximizes a creamy texture. It's even creamier than the one at Tuki, almost reminding me of an egg tart filling. One bite of the cheesecake followed by a sip of coffee—all I can say is that it just melts in your mouth along with a pleasant acidity. Among all the Basque cheesecakes I've had so far, this one suits my taste the best. The Americano has a deep aroma and acidity that hits your nose and palate, true to a roastery. From the crema to the swallow, the rich lingering finish of the espresso stays for a long time. It’s rare for me to rave about an Americano, but this is a really well-brewed coffee. The house blend is half nutty and half acidic, while the Ethiopia leans more toward an acidic note. The perfection of both the cheesecake and the coffee is pushed to the limit, making the pairing truly perfect. The interior is very small and there is a significant wait on weekends, but unless you live nearby and can just get takeout, it is worth closing your eyes and waiting to eat it. Whether it suits your taste or not, I recommend you try their Basque cheesecake at least once before you decide.
