It's in a narrow, shabby alleyway, so be careful as you might get lost. The location and interior are quite cramped. Ordered: Beef galbijjim (S) Bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles) Handmade dumplings (4 pieces per order) The galbijjim has a shiny, oily coating and looks amazing; the sweet and savory balance is great with plenty of umami. The meat is tender enough to fall off the bone with chopsticks and has no gamey smell, while the mushrooms hold just enough juice for great texture and flavor. The handmade dumplings are quite large, and the filling isn't too greasy with a good amount of juice. Dipping them in the provided soy sauce works well, but eating them with the place's star, the green onion kimchi, is best. The green onion kimchi is insane; the sharp saltiness, spiciness, and crunch of the chives are perfect. If this were a side dish at home, I could finish a whole bowl of rice with just this. The bibim naengmyeon is sweet, tart, and familiar; the sauce is so generous that there isn't a dry spot. However, because there is so much sauce, the sweetness is strong, so eating it after the galbijjim feels a bit heavy since it's sweetness on top of sweetness. Next time, I think it'd be better to order mul naengmyeon (cold broth noodles) after the galbijjim. Each menu item is high quality, and all the sides are delicious, especially the green onion kimchi, which makes you eat rice like crazy. Just keep in mind that the seasoning is strong overall, so if you prefer mild food, you might not like it.
