It doesn't come as a soup-heavy mulhoe, but rather looks like a large plate of spicy seasoned raw fish with shredded flounder, vegetables, and sauce, so if you add rice, it's a raw fish rice bowl, and if you add ice and water, it becomes mulhoe. I just added ice and mixed it with the rice. The flounder was mild and chewy, and there was plenty of shredded pear, so I could taste the sweetness more than I expected. Around the halfway point, as the ice melted, the vibe changed a bit; as the red chili paste dressing thinned out, it turned into the sensation of mixing rice into mulhoe. Eating it this way was fun, it tasted good, and I was satisfied.

Got a recommendation from a local and tried the mulhoe-deopbap (spicy cold raw fish with rice). I'd never realized how charming a bowl of mulhoe-deopbap made solely with sekko-si could be. The flounder sekko-si is piled on generously, and it was light and not soggy at all because it was well-drained. There's that signature texture from the tiny bones, but it wasn't bothersome. Underneath, there are long, julienned pieces of cucumber, carrot, and pear. When you mix it well with the chojang (vinegared chili paste), you can really taste the sweetness of the pear coming through the nutty flavor of the flounder. Since there's so much sekko-si, it was also great to eat a few bites like a sashimi salad before adding the rice. If you're eating mulhoe in Sokcho, this sekko-si-only mulhoe-deopbap is definitely a delicacy worth recommending.
