Since they are known for their massive portions, I chose the old-fashioned pork cutlet today to keep things light. It has less meat than the king version, but it's cheaper, and honestly, I didn't feel much of a difference in taste. The breading is crispy, the meat inside is lean, and the rich, old-school sauce adds a sweet and nutty flavor. The fish cutlet is on the thinner side, but the coating was crispy, and it went down clean with the sauce. The bowl tteokbokki is the kind you'd find at a snack bar, served with plenty of broth. The spicy-sweet seasoning isn't too overpowering, so it paired well with the pork cutlet. I also had a bowl of soup from the self-serve bar; it tasted just like the classic kind, giving off a nostalgic vibe of an old western-style restaurant. With parking available and generous portions, it’s a convenient place for a family meal or a quick solo lunch.
