Sure, it tastes better than what I’d cook at home, but I feel like I might as well cook at home instead of paying extra for that small difference in taste. You can get that vibe from kimbap or tteokbokki anyway. I visited Real Ramen (레알라면) partially to see if it would change my mind. Starting with the conclusion, it didn’t really change. The ramen was good. The broth was the familiar ramen soup with a significant kick of spice added, and the noodles were cooked absolutely perfectly. Two eggs were satisfying, and the unlimited rice and toppings were great. Honestly, this makes it feel like quite a good value. If you’re craving ramen while out and about, wouldn’t this place feel like a lifesaver if it’s nearby? But even saying all that, at the end of the day, ramen is just ramen. Even if there’s a unique taste to ramen cooked at a shop, I didn’t feel it was attractive enough to seek out a store and eat there when I have ramen at home. Though I did feel it’s a place worth visiting for its attractive value!
