It was a popular spot around Gangdong-gu, but the owner moved the restaurant to Geomdan, Incheon because the commute became too much after moving house. I used to visit back in the Gildong days, and this was my first time visiting since the relocation. Some even ranked it as one of the best Thai restaurants in Seoul, so its reputation for taste is well-established. It’s a blessing for Geomdan, but a loss for those in Gangdong-gu. The tom yum here has a fantastic balance of sourness. It’s exactly the right level of acidity to whet the appetite. I’m always impressed. Som tum. Every bite feels refreshing. As expected. Indeed. Pu phat pong curry... The curry sauce is delicious, but... they used soft-shell crab back in Gildong, but here they use regular blue crab. It’s harder to eat and the curry doesn’t soak into the meat as well, which is a shame. Pad krapow moo saap. Pad thai. A good restaurant should get the basics right, and this place definitely gets the basics right. Since it hasn’t quite taken root in the area yet, it’s easier to get a meal here than before. Word is bound to get out. It’ll probably get hard to visit later, right? :)
