Now that they have quite a few branches, it's more accessible and feels a bit more ordinary, but the tangsuyuk itself is still excellent. I ordered the pork tangsuyuk and the mapo tofu rice bowl. The tangsuyuk had a great texture with its savory, thin batter and thick meat. Many places these days use black vinegar for a more intense flavor, but sometimes I just crave old-school tangsuyuk, and there really aren't many places as good as this for that.

It's also close to Seokchon Lake, so it's nice to take a walk after the meal. I visit often because the weekday lunch course is a great value, but this day I ordered the guobaorou and crab fried rice. The guobaorou had a thicker batter than I expected, so it was a bit chewy. The sauce was tasty, but this part was a little disappointing. The crab fried rice was decent and tasty.
