I ordered the shabu kalguksu, and it came with beef, mushrooms, and water dropwort. The broth was light and clean rather than rich; at first, I thought it was a bit mild, but it had a solid base flavor, and the more I ate, the more depth I could taste. Once the water started boiling, I cooked the beef first and ate it with the mushrooms and water dropwort. The meat was tender, and the fragrance of the water dropwort combined with the taste of the mushrooms made the broth feel even deeper. After finishing most of the shabu ingredients, I added the kalguksu noodles. Being handmade, the noodles were thick, chewy, and moist. The light broth paired well with the noodles, so I enjoyed the kalguksu as well. And of course, the end of shabu kalguksu is fried rice. Haha. Frying it with rice, seaweed flakes, and water dropwort in the remaining broth was a treat. I felt like I truly finished the meal only after having the kalguksu and the fried rice. The basic side dishes are simple, just kimchi and soy sauce. The kimchi is crunchy and slightly spicy, so it goes great with the kalguksu. The parking lot and the dining area are spacious, so it would be a good place for family outings or group dinners.
