Actually, I visited thinking it was a regular paper drip cafe, but I realized it was a flannel drip specialty shop when I saw them brewing the coffee. I ordered: Colombia Organic Agrotatama (ICE) I ordered it out of curiosity because I saw the word 'organic' on the bean lineup, but it tasted like a standard coffee with complex notes, so nothing particularly special. In short, it's a coffee with just the right amount of acidity and sweetness. Maybe because it's a flannel drip, the coffee flavor has a strong nuttiness and is a bit full-bodied. It feels exactly like something between an Americano and a paper drip. It definitely has a charm where the sweet aroma in the finish comes through strongly, so it would probably pair well with a dark roast. The problem is that this flavor intensity isn't maintained and gets noticeably thinner as time goes by. The aroma's volatility is faster than I thought, and this speed is also somewhere between an Americano and a paper drip. Since I prefer clean drip coffee with deep, long-lasting aromatic notes, it's quite disappointing. Surprisingly, I realized I had visited the Coffee Belt Iksan main branch a few years ago. I remember the notes not being clear and it feeling a bit watery, but the Gunsan branch has clearer aromas and the coffee is better in many ways. It's not bad, so it might be good to visit if you're curious about flannel drip or are taking a walk at Eunpa Lake Park.
