김평냉(406 reviews)Lunch・Visited 2026/10(1 visits)3.508I am Kim Milmyeon. From now on, I will just stick to the broad category of Naengmyeon for my activities lol This time, I visited a hidden Milmyeon spot in Sasang-gu. Myeongga Milmyeon, which has a pretty good reputation among the locals. It is also known as the 'Volleyball Milmyeon', and I went there immediately after being drawn to the bright red visual of the spicy mixed Milmyeon I saw in photos. After parking in front of the shop and entering, there were already a few customers despite it not being lunchtime. The menu is very simple. Just two items: Milmyeon and spicy mixed Milmyeon. Without hesitation, I ordered the spicy mixed Milmyeon. The spicy mixed Milmyeon is served already fully mixed with the sauce. It is topped with boiled pork and a hard-boiled egg, and underneath is a generous portion of noodles coated in bright red sauce. The portion size is quite substantial to begin with. When I looked at the reviews, many said that even if you usually eat an extra-large portion, a regular serving here is enough, and indeed, even ordering a regular size was quite filling. A regular size should be enough for most people. The flavor is generally on the strong side. The sweet and spicy sauce sticks very thickly to the noodles, it's not a watery or light sauce, but rather a thick, rich, and clingy style. This is much tastier than I expected. One bite brings in the sweetness first, followed by the spiciness and a savory umami kick. The noodles were so well-coated in the sauce that the flavor didn't fade until the very last bite. If you prefer a mild and bland style of Milmyeon, it might feel a bit strong, but if you like intense and stimulating spicy mixed Milmyeon, it will likely suit your taste. In Sasang, it is often mentioned alongside Sacheol Milmyeon, and looking at local reviews, many say Myeongga Milmyeon has larger portions and better value for money. Personally, with this portion size and quality, I can see why it consistently stays popular in the neighborhood. If you are craving spicy mixed Milmyeon with a bright red look, and a sweet, spicy, and thick sauce that sticks perfectly to the noodles, it's a place in Sasang worth trying at least once. Highly recommended, especially if you like spicy mixed Milmyeon.
