It was a place I couldn't easily afford before, but I finally got to try it. Ordered the A course (55,000 won). Started with porridge and tuna salad, and began slowly while having a drink of the sake we brought. Then the tuna sashimi was served in earnest, mostly consisting of belly cuts. Striped marlin and bluefin tuna belly came out together, and it was fun comparing the different levels of fattiness and texture for each piece. The chef explained the recommended order of eating, suggesting I eat the fattier cuts first as the fat can melt and become a bit greasy over time. What stood out most was the tuna head sashimi. The texture was definitely different from regular tuna sashimi; it was chewy yet firm, making it feel like I was eating meat for a second. The best part was that the tuna sashimi is refillable. After finishing the first plate, they brought out more, and dishes like fish stew and udon were served in between, making the course far from monotonous. The drinks that day were a bottle of Hananoka Junmai Daiginjo and a bottle of Taito Junmai Ginjo. The pairing of the fatty tuna belly and sake was quite good, and after talking with my friends for a long time, we ended up ordering an Ilpum Jinro to finish things off neatly. I finally visited a local tuna place that felt so distant in the past, and it was a great spot for a drink with friends, with plenty of tuna and a proper sake experience.
