Seongsu-dong Galbi Alley is a food street known for generous portions at affordable prices. It has a history of about 40 years, starting in the 1970s when a racetrack opened in Seongsu-dong and ribs restaurants began to thrive. Due to changes in the commercial areas of Seongsu and Seoul Forest, only about three places are currently operating, while the original shops have moved elsewhere. Sutgol handles pork grown in farms in Bonghwa, Gyeongsangbuk-do, an area known for its pristine Grade 1 water, and uses only antibiotic-free certified superior-grade meat. Another point Sutgol highlights is the balance between fat and lean meat. The fat and lean meat were properly layered, making for a great harmony when chewed. The part I enjoyed the most was the fresh pork ribs, which had a great bite and meaty aroma. The staff who grilled the meat for us were also excellent. They explained how to eat it well, and they grilled it to perfection, so we had a delicious meal. If you're looking for a restaurant you can't go wrong with after visiting Seoul Forest, I recommend giving this place a try.
