I found out later that there are exactly three gukbap places with the same name nearby... One has a 62-year history and is a designated "Centennial Store," the one I visited has a 60-year history, and another claims a 59-year tradition. I wonder what the story is behind all this..? When you think of Busan, you think of pork gukbap, but these gukbap "Avengers" grandmas all serve beef gukbap. I don't know about the other two places, but the gukbap at the one I visited felt like a decent meal to just get through the day. Cheap and filling. But while it does its job as a gukbap place, I remember thinking it was a bit underwhelming to go out of your way to eat it while traveling. It felt like, if I picked any random gukbap place in Seoul, it would be around this level?
