SANG HYUK(45 reviews)Takeout・Visited 2026/08(1 visits)3.007Sinpo has now become a nationwide dakgangjeong (Korean fried chicken) house...It's the signature food of Sinpo International Market in Incheon... actually, I think there are so many customers now that it might be the number one dakgangjeong place not just in Incheon, but in the entire country. There are representative dakgangjeong places that tourists always make sure to buy from in every region, like Bani Dakgangjeong in Gangneung, Ilmi Dakgangjeong in Yeongwol, and Manseok Dakgangjeong in Sokcho. Among them, I picked up some dakgangjeong from the original Sinpo Dakgangjeong (신포닭강정) in Incheon. When I arrived at Sinpo International Market, I was glad to see no one on the streets, thinking it was empty because of the hot weather... but the moment I stepped inside the market, it seemed like most of the people visiting Sinpo International Market were all lined up here ;;; There were no seats in the hall, of course ^^. The line for takeout is also huge. But since they just pack it up right away, it didn't take that long. There are a few other dakgangjeong places when you enter Sinpo International Market, but it's so popular that everyone is only lining up for this place. The dakgangjeong doesn't use bite-sized pieces like other typical dakgangjeong shops; they use large chicken pieces like seasoned fried chicken. There are legs and wings, but the proportion of breast meat was high :( The taste is like an old-school Pelicana seasoned fried chicken but with chili peppers added, making it a bit more spicy? Some people say it's too sweet, but I don't think it's a place that polarizes people that much. I'm not sure if it's worth going all the way there just to buy it. I think I'd eat it once or twice if I happened to be in the area. It might be because it has become so popular nationwide that I feel that way... but in a way, I also wonder how delicious dakgangjeong can really be.
