It was famous for a reason
I heard this was the first Korean location of a famous American sandwich brand, so I went to check it out. Honestly, I didn’t have high expectations before going. Part of me thought a sandwich was just a sandwich, and wondered if the hype might be a little overblown. But once I actually tried it, it was much more satisfying than I expected. I ordered their signature, Lenny’s (레니스). What I liked most about the sandwich was how well balanced it was. More meat doesn’t automatically make a sandwich good, and more vegetables don’t necessarily make it refreshing, but here the meat and vegetables each played their part really well. The meat was especially impressive. I don’t know how they prepare it, but the texture is a little different from what you’d expect in a typical sandwich. It has a satisfying chew, which makes every bite pretty enjoyable. As I kept eating, I understood why they call this their signature sandwich. Personally, I recommend adding jalapeños. It’s already a well-balanced sandwich, but the jalapeños bring the flavors into sharper focus. They don’t hit you with intense heat; they just take the overall flavor up a notch. I’d heard a lot about how famous it was, and after trying it, I could clearly see why it became so popular.
