Hojicha strawberry shortcake
3.7/5.0 😋 Hojicha strawberry shortcake (9,000 won) True to its name, this dessert layers toasty, slightly bitter hojicha around bright strawberry jam and tart fresh strawberries, finishing without being overly sweet. The chantilly cream has a sweet, rich milky flavor, though the thicker cream around the edge of the cake can feel a little slick. It was also a bit disappointing that the sponge, while gently scented with hojicha, had a slightly coarse texture. Honestly, it falls a little short in overall execution, so I wouldn’t readily call it a must-try. Still, I enjoyed Kovo’s (코보) appealing combination of hojicha and strawberry enough that I’ll probably come back again next season 😋 Matcha oolong milk (Iced 7,000 won) It was recommended as a refreshing non-coffee drink to pair with the cake. Its clean finish felt like it rinsed the palate after each bite and paired very well with the hojicha strawberry shortcake + Dogs allowed Building restroom, with the sink located only inside the men’s room
