Bean-to-Bar Chocolate and Coffee
This place has won several awards in chocolate competitions and roasts both its coffee and cacao in-house. At the main location, you can also see the workshop next door. I usually get the melting chocolate or mocha, but this time I tried the matcha white chocolate strawberry drink I’d been curious about The strawberry preserve was delicious, while the white chocolate was relatively faint. There were bits of matcha throughout. They weren’t sweet and had a pleasantly bitter matcha flavor. The ingredients tasted good, but the overall balance and harmony were slightly disappointing. If I come back, I’ll probably get the Roma coffee (mocha). The chocolate bars come in 70% dark chocolate and milk chocolate. The yuzu chocolate is distinctive, and quite a few of my friends like it. My favorite here is the Costa Rica La Dorada dark chocolate, which has a pleasant acidity. The lecithin is a little disappointing, but both the price and flavor are very solid!
